Writing comments ethically means not only respect for others – it is also self-respect. It is a pity, that such a good way to share opinions, space for dialogues in internet news portals sometimes becomes space for slinging mud and palaver.

For some time I was grouping people into ones who read and write commentaries and ones who neither write nor read it. I myself started glancing at commentaries only very recently, but I insist on never reading comments about myself – I don’t want my mood to be ruined. Earlier I wasn’t reading comments at all, because I was revolted even by hearsay about what is being written.

Usually only every tenth comment is smart and meaningful. I would love that people, who write obnoxious comments, would one day find themselves in shoes of ones they are discussing, or at least would imagine how one should feel after receiving a dose of insults for only God knows what reason.

When I was taking part in TV projects, my colleagues fell into despair after reading comments. And I was telling them: “don’t read!” Because only people who do not know any other way how to unload all their filth write comments.

It would be great if everyone would feel moral responsibility for their own words while writing and reading comments. I have seen plenty of people insulted and hurt. My skin is thick, but there are many with a way thinner skin.
